Instructor: Spencer Motamedy
Saturday, March 28, 1pm to 4pm
2501 Fawn Street, Norfolk, VA 23504
Come join us for a day of Cyanotype magic. This is intended for artists of all skill levels. You will learn rudimentary theory of photographic contact-prints while partaking in paper-coating, negative preparation, exposure, “development”, and post-processing techniques. Students will walk away with 3 prints of their work.
Instructor Bio: Spencer Motamedy is a Virginia based photographic artist whose work explores cultural identity and ecology. He began experimenting with photography in high school, using the camera both as a creative outlet and a way to navigate social spaces. After graduating, he worked professionally as a commercial photographer and videographer in Las Vegas, primarily in the wedding industry, where he photographed over 3,000 weddings across five years and developed deep technical mastery without formal academic training, positioning him, technically, as a folk artist with an academically refined visual language.
