


Intaglio Open Studio
Welcome to the open intaglio studio at Studio Shift's Fawn Street Studio! Printmakers of all ages and experience are welcome to join artist Christine Rucker as she shares her equipment and a selection of supplies. Draw or etch copper plates, use provided ink, and print on the tabletop press. Christine will also share her expertise with you in this casual style learning or just straight chillaxing environment.
Max 3 participants. $30 each session, registration required. Sessions are every last Friday of the month from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Scribes and burnishers (for 2 people)
Tarlatan and other wiping fabrics
Plate cleaning supplies
Vertical etching tank with ferric chloride

Christine Rucker is an artist and social worker based in Virginia Beach, VA. She graduated from Pratt Institute in painting and art history, and Virginia Commonwealth University in clinical social work. As an artist, she works as a bookmaker, designer, and mixed media printmaker.
